When hard times come, trust God.
Lean into Him.
Call out to Him. Cry out to Him. I know for sure you can do this without saying a word out loud. He hears the groanings of your heart.
We sing lyrics that say “lean on me when you’re not strong” but . . .
Flesh and blood are almost always weary from their own hard times. Burdens heavy. What’s for dinner? When are we leaving? I meant to call you. Their disregard and disconnection will only hurt you more. It’s not their fault really but you will want to believe the Liar and blame them and invite yourself to a party thrown by Pity.
When hard times come lean on Him.
When hard times come lean on His Words
Have The Truth written on a note that you can grab and read and hold in your hand and heart and mind. In these moments you will not have time to get your Bible and search for truth and read it. Even if you do have time you will not get it and search and read. You just won’t.
Hard times often find us weak and weary. You will need urgent care. The kind you find on a sticky note, written in your own handwriting; familiar, time-worn words that fall like an oxygen mask, resuscitating body and spirit.
Only He can do that. He is Truth. He is Life. He breathed life into us. He gave us new life.
Only He can do that. Only He can. Only He.
Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. Romans 8:37
If you know someone who needs this reminder today would you share it with them, please?
Here’s a pin to save:
I had a pretty little card with a very dear verse on my fridge for years until I gave it to someone else hoping it would help push them through like it did me.
