Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.

Wedding party photos were made before the wedding. Then we watched from a distance as the bride and groom see each other for the first time.
Time for the ceremony arrives and we make our way down the hill to sit in the shade of the big oak tree. You won’t see any pics of the ceremony here. I choose to sit front row, fully present, enjoying every moment as my firstborn recites vows with his bride. It was fifteen minutes of pure joy. And then this . . .
A wedding cake.
Washed down with a little milk
The groom’s table offered milk and cookies (groom’s favorite) as well as a beautiful chocolate cake make by Bonnie Ray’s Bake Shop. I made the cake topper and provided the bakery with the ribbon and tape measures (my husband’s idea!). A perfect touch for the groom since he works in the lumber yard of a building supply company.
This is the best photo I have. I was a little distracted!
We partied for over two hours! Guests enjoyed some delicious barbecue and fixin’s, root beer, and lots of great fellowship. Soon the sweet couple made their escape.
You know when you have found your prince because you not only have a smile on your face,
but in your heart as well.

The ceremony included one song:
This was the best day I can remember in long time.
