Ten Things I Love This Spring

Last Updated on March 20, 2025 by Stacy Averette

Today is the first day of spring, and the high-temperature today is forty-nine degrees. That’s cold weather for us Southerners! Still, I see signs of Spring all around, so I’m happy. I hope the weather, wherever you are, is beautiful as you read about the ten things I love this Spring.

This isn’t your typical “Spring” post full of tulips and Easter decorations. The items I’ll share today are products I’ve purchased recently and some I buy often. I love it when others share a good find at a reasonable price, so I thought you might like this list of my favorites.

Ten Things I Love This Spring

1. Fire Pit Mat

We use our firepit year-round, but Eric recently suggested needing a firepit mat to protect our deck. I researched before choosing one that he felt was best for us. This XL Firepit mat will also be helpful under our grill.

This fireproof mat will protect our beautiful deck and give us peace of mind as we enjoy a cozy fire on cool spring and summer nights.

2. Bluetooth Speaker

A good Bluetooth speaker is a necessity these days. I love to listen to music while I cook and clean, and we also enjoy it outside on the deck. Our old speaker was great, but I had to wedge a penny under the cord to make it work. I purchased this Bluetooth speaker recently for a great price!

3. NYX Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Once I discovered waterproof liquid eyeliner, I never returned to pencil liner! This NYX liquid eyeliner comes in several colors and stays put all day. I love that it comes off easily with Garnier Micellar Water for Waterproof Makeup.

4. Two Rivers Flavored Coffee Pods

We drink lots of coffee! We use our drip coffee maker in the mornings, and throughout the day, we use a Keurig. This box of 40 coffee pods has an assortment of flavors we love. There are several varieties to choose from, all for around $20! I’ve ordered this coffee multiple times during the past year.

5. Linen Floral Curtains

I love these curtains so much that I’ve ordered six pairs! The black-on-beige ones look great in our bedroom and bathroom, and the green-on-beige ones are perfect for the guest room. I recently added some to the kitchen window, too. They come in various colors and sizes, are light-filtering, and are machine washable.

6. Eden’s Garden Essential Oil

Essential oil diffusers have almost replaced burning scented candles in our home. Eden’s Garden is my favorite essential oil brand because of its quality and price. Fighting Five and Home Sweet Home are two of my favorite blends to diffuse at home. At the office, I diffuse Stress Relief, and almost every day, someone says, “It always smells so good in here.” This is the diffuser I use.

7. French Press Coffee Maker

Let’s talk about coffee again, shall we? I’ve always wanted to learn how to make French press coffee. Heating the water in my vintage kettle, coarse grinding just enough coffee, and patiently waiting for the coffee to steep requires a slower pace. We reserve this ritual for special weekend mornings. This French press coffee maker is the one I chose, and I’ve seriously considered ordering another one so we could each have our own! We’ve had our coffee grinder forever, but here’s one similar to ours.

8. Toddler Board Book Set

We’re in our Mimi and Pawpaw era and love every minute. I recently purchased the Our Little Adventures board book set and love the words and illustrations.

9. Linen Beach Towels

I love these linen beach towels. The texture and color give these towels a vintage feel, which I prefer. They’re large, lightweight, pre-washed, and quick-dry, which is exactly what you need at the pool or beach.

10. Foot Switch Extension Cord

Last Christmas, we visited my youngest son and his wife and noticed the foot switch they used for turning their Christmas tree on and off. Why did I not know about this gadget before?! For years, I looked like I was playing Twister, trying to unplug the lights on my tree. I promptly went to my local Walmart and purchased one for our tree. I soon realized I needed several foot switches for hard-to-reach outlets throughout our home. That’s when I discovered these 9 ft 3 outlet extension cords with a foot switch. I bought two two-packs in white!

I hope you’ve found a few products you love. My goal is to inspire you to create a life you love, so I enjoy sharing budget-friendly, practical, and pretty resources.
