Huntsville, Alabama is a beautiful city with plenty of attractions and lots of ways to celebrate the Christmas season. We were there recently to cheer for our favorite runner in the Rocket City Marathon.

The night before the race, Maddie, Caleb and I enjoyed the Tinsel Trail at Big Spring Park since it was just outside our hotel.

We had such a good time!

{Caleb’s a nut!}

We highly recommend the pizza and pasta at Pane E Vino. It’s an indoor/outdoor pizzeria at the Huntsville Museum of Art with a great view overlooking the park. I recommend reservations though—the wait was 1 hr and 45 minutes when I picked up our take-out order!

The Rocket City Marathon in Huntsville marks Eric’s 4th marathon finish since 2013. I’m so proud of him! It takes a lot of hard work and commitment to train for and run 26.2 miles. He was the last official finisher of the race.

Caleb ran the last half-mile with him and joined him at the finish line.

Eric’s set some big goals for 2016 related to his health and fitness and as his #1 fan I’m going to do my part to support him.
