I love the AT & T  “It’s not complicated” commercials. My favorite is this one. Go ahead and click to watch it. It’s short. And funny.

Speaking of candy…

I saw this list and decided it would be my Revolution starting point:

resolution guide

1. A bad habit I’m going to break: staying up way too late!

2. A new skill I’d like to learn: Photoshop!

3. A person I hope to be more like: Eric–he always gives everyone an “A”. He is a great encourager.

4. A good deed I’m going to do: Send a care package to some missionary friends.

5. A place I’d like to visit: Atlanta–I love the “big” city. Anniversary trip? Maybe!

6. A book I’d like to read: The Art of Possibility by Zander.

7. A letter I’m going to write: Anonymous notes of encouragement.

8. A new food I’d like to try: Is there any I haven’t tried? I’ll have to think about this one. Maybe just more jellybeans. I love jellybeans.

9. I’m going to do better at: letting go of the small stuff!

O.k. I’ve shared my list. I’d like to hear yours! Feel free to leave a comment and share all nine or just one.

  1. I found your blog through your comment on Holley Gerth’s blog. I love this idea of a New Year’s Revolution! Here’s my list…

    1. A bad habit I’m going to break: Diet coke. I’m determined (as I sit here with a can in front of me) to do it for good this year!

    2. A new skill I’d like to learn: photography

    3. A person I hope to be more like: my Dad! Generous, funny, hard working and a great listener

    4. A good deed I’m going to do: Weekly cards to my niece & nephew

    5. A place I’d like to visit: I always wanted to visit Nashville, TN

    6. A book I’d like to read: Oh, there’s soooo many…The Book Thief

    7. A letter I’m going to write: Anonymous notes of encouragement. (I’m going to borrow this idea, hope you don’t mind!)

    8. A new food I’d like to try: I think I’ll try Sushi. I’m a pretty picky eater, but I’ll try it.

    9. I’m going to do better at: being my authentic self!

    Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Michelle,

I LOVE your list! Funny, your nine things could have been mine, too. (except #5– I lived in Nashville for 6 years. It is a great city to visit!) Glad you’re inspired. Happy New Year!

  2. Stacy, just found and am enjoying your blog. I’m a homeschooling mom too and am trying to walk closer with God every day. So I appreciate those who share their journeys with God to encourage others. Keep up the good work. Bad habit to break: focusing on the negatives. Thing I want to do better at: finding the blessings anywhere they can be found and letting God lead as He will. Take care and God bless. (sweetlybrokengirl.blogspot.com) p.s. Loved your jelly bean answer. Made me smile.

  3. 1. Habit to break: PROCRASTINATION
    2. New skill: SPANISH
    3. Person: WORLD’s MOST INTERESTING MAN
    4. Good deed: DO NO HARM
    5. Trip: ATLANTA-DONE. Anniversary. Symphony Hall!
