Look for Him

It’s an ordinary day.mowing
I had coffee with bacon and eggs for breakfast. I’m wearing a pair of jeans I bought in 2004 and a shirt I bought at a thrift store. I made my bed, brushed my teeth, and put my hair in a pony tail. I’ll spend my morning doing math, spelling, and grammar while doing a few loads of laundry in between. I’ll eat lunch while watching an NCIS rerun. I do these same things every day. Seems pretty ordinary right?

I’m guessing your life seems pretty ordinary, too. I’ll bet you dream of the next vacation or shopping trip or holiday. I do, too.

But most of our days are ordinary days in that we do the same things with the same people in the same place every day.

But He is here—in the ordinary. Mine and yours.

And He is anything but ordinary.columbus day

He has come that you and I might have abundant life– our ordinary life made abundant through Him.

He is the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Look for Him.

He’s in the laundry room and the conference room.

He’s at the breakfast table and the business lunch.

He’s in the home-school and the public school.

He’s everywhere.

Look for Him.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord,

Jeremiah 29: 13-14

I’m off to enjoy my ordinary day. Hope you do, too.
