…You are loved. Yes, you. You reading these words right now.

You may be having one of those days when you know it. You feel loved and it’s a good day.

or…

You may be having one of those days when you don’t know it. Not only do you NOT feel loved, you feel downright unlovable.Great Smokey Mountains 2012

I have both kinds of days. I think everyone does. Unkind words, forgotten promises, my own mistakes—they can add up pretty fast.

If you’re in the first group–you’re loved and you know it—be on the look-out today for someone who’s feeling unloved and unlovable. You know what it looks like and feels like so you’ll know it when you see it if you’re looking. And when you see it, move into that place where the unloved heart beats today. Open your heart and let love-filled words pour out. Don’t be afraid of giving your love away. The more you give, the more you’ll have.

If you’re in the second group—you’re having one of those days when you feel unloved and unlovable—you being here reading these words is no coincidence. He wants you to know you’re loved. Lean into Him and release the hold this imperfect and often unloving world can have on a heart. If you can, say it aloud or write it down…”I am loved”.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Christ’s death on the cross was a one-time sacrifice. But the perfect love that motivated that sacrifice is everlasting love and He wanted you to know it today.

You are loved.
